My first collections celebrate three of my favorite interests and obsessions, which range from 70s Eastern European aesthetics, to being in the forest & traditional crafts.
Soviet Disco
Bright and Energetic, with a little edge and lots of vintage flair
Soviet DIsco is inspired by my earliest memories in Communist Poland in the late 1970s. Visually it’s based on a very different time and place, with a certain nostalgia for a simpler way of life.
This collection celebrates the amazing creativity and energy of people thriving despite having to live through austere and difficult times.
Think resourcefulness, community, and packing a picnic to hangout by the lake. Think basement dance parties, underground art films, the hectic energy of wanting to make stuff happen, plus a million patterned blankets, scarves and polyester dresses bringing color and joy.
Dark Floral
Cottage–core and Victorian romantic, but with a darker, gothic vibe
Dark Floral is a collection inspired by my passion project– our off-grid cabin deep in the woods near the historic gold-rush town of Nevada City, California.
Think Victorian lounges, dusk settling on the forest, and red velvet cake. Think playing the theremin and reading books, flowers tied with velvet ribbons, a vintage ring, moody romance, poetry and daydreams. It’s playing dark wave in the woodshed and all kinds of country vamp vibes.
Dark floral is sometimes timeless and sometimes a love letter to the past – but mainly it’s about being present.
Quilts & Blocks
Classic Shapes and bold colors, remixed in craft-inspired contemporary geometries
Quilts & Blocks is based on simple and classic shapes and colors. It is filled with and inspired by the stars, stripes, patches and zigzags found in American quilts.
Think movies and mulled wine sitting by the fire, or crunchy leaves on a Fall hike, and warm socks. Think friend getaways at the cabin, fun family dinners, craft nights, wrapping gifts, and other autumnal vibes both cozy and creative.
